Rules & Policies

To further IDS’ obligation to make appropriate use of limited state funds, IDS staff review all fee applications in capital post-conviction cases for reasonableness and compliance with our financial policies.  These and other policies are posted below. In addition, IDS staff conduct annual random audits of fee applications submitted to our office.  We urge all indigent defense attorneys to keep contemporaneous time records and believe that is the best way to avoid any inadvertent billing errors.

  • Mandatory Training for Capital Post-Conviction Attorneys
  • Mitigation Specialist Case Cap
  • RJA Policies
