IDS shows support for individuals taking the NC Bar Exam

August 1, 2024Filed Under: Announcements

As an outward show of support for those taking the NC Bar Exam this week, IDS set up a table at one of the testing sites to hand out sweet treats and information cards to the newest crop of potential lawyers.

Assistant Public Defender Kristie Stilton (left) and intern, Stephanie Moore, made the trip from Defender District 2, which covers Martin, Tyrrell, Beaufort, Hyde and Washington counties.

They joined IDS Recruitment and Training Coordinator Carla Huff and IDS Defender Policy and Planning Attorney Becky Whitaker in congratulating folks for finishing a grueling two days of testing.

Stephanie is going to be a 2L this fall at Campbell Law School.  She has been working in the Defender District 2 PD Office, office thanks to the IOLTA grant that allows interns to participate in areas where there are “legal deserts.”
