Sebastian Fowler was recently hired as IDS Accounting Specialist. His start date was October 26, 2026. He replaces Kristen DeSimone, who retired at the end of the summer.
Fowler holds a B.A. degree in economics with a minor in history from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In previous roles, his main duties were centered upon accounting work, with responsibilities that varied greatly based on the industry and specific employer. Prior to joining the IDS team, he served as a departmental accountant at the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine Vet Hospital.
For IDS, Sebastian will work to ensure the timely and accurate payment to experts and attorneys who are involved with court appointed work, primarily for capital cases.
