For a fourth, full consecutive year, IDS and the Mecklenburg Public Defender’s Office are offering free, regular continuing education to criminal defense and parent attorneys, investigators, and mitigation specialists across North Carolina.
Sign up today for the 2024 IDS Forensic Science Education Series. This year, we will offer monthly 90-minute webinars on various forensic disciplines and preparations for Daubert/702 challenges. You won’t want to miss the first several sessions; those topics will focus particularly on mental health evidence.
These webinars will take place, typically, at 12:30 pm on the first Thursday of each month.
In 2023, more than 800 hours of continuing education were provided to more than 400 participants. About 90 professionals attended each session. Here is what some of them had to say about the content and presenters:
“This was a great program. I really appreciate this series and all the work that is poured into each one.”
“Excellent program! Outstanding presentation on a timely topic.
Very good integration of theory with practical application.”
“Well presented, relevant and helpful!”
“A thorough examination of the subject. Thank you!”
“Work-knowledgeable and clear presenters with audience questions at the end! THANK YOU!!”
