Photographs by IDS Communications Specialist Amanda Bunch will be on display in Brooklyn, New York from June 01-June 23, 2024, as part of Cardinal Compass: A Collection of North Carolina Artists, a national juried art show hosted by the non-profit Brooklyn Waterfronts Artist Coalition (BWAC).
The gallery exhibition is located in a massive Civil War-era warehouse on the Red Hook waterfront with a direct view of the Statue of Liberty, and the show features over 50 standout North Carolina artists.
Amanda has a series of three16x20 mounted photographs on display, each featuring the recently reopened historic Rialto Theater in Raleigh, NC.
The photos document the Halloween 2023 book launch of The Twilight Zone Haiku: Poems Inspired By The Landmark Television Series, written by IDS Assistant General Counsel Chad Ellis Boykin. As part of the launch celebration the book title was displayed on the Rialto marquee, where Amanda skillfully turned her camera’s lens.
“The theme of Cardinal Compass is to showcase art and artists with connections between North Carolina and New York. Amanda is a Bertie County native and her images of a Raleigh author’s tribute to the work of New York native Rod Serling, was a perfect fit”, said event curator Robbie Pope Bailey, Head of Visual Arts Department of the Raleigh Film and Arts Festival.
Amanda holds a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, is an award-winning journalist, and has held the position of IDS Communications Specialist since February 07, 2023.
