The Office of the Juvenile Defender will hold a virtual training event Friday, April 14, 2023

March 26, 2023Filed Under: Announcements

Join State Juvenile Defender Eric Zogry and other youth defenders as we explore the “Role of the Youth Defender.”

This training is the second session offered by the Office of the Juvenile Defender in their Back-to-Basics Virtual Series!

*This webinar is open to anyone interested in juvenile defense work, or anyone who wants to broaden their understanding of juvenile law.

Mr. Zogry will cover questions like:  As youth defenders, are we expressed interest advocates or best interest advocates? How do we interact with the parents of our young clients? What is our role to the court? And more… We will also discuss ethical obligations to our young clients and the important role that we, as youth defenders, play for our clients and families in the youth justice system.

Don’t miss this opportunity! *Pending NC State Bar approval, you could earn “FREE” CLE credit for 1 hour and 15 min of ethics training.

This is a virtual Webex event:
