IDS may be able to assist you if:
- you want to request general information about
indigent defense programs or funding in North Carolina.
- you have a question or complaint about an attorney ids appointed to handle a capital case or appeal.
- you are an appointed attorney who has questions about payments or experts in capital cases or appeals, or other matters under IDS’ direct oversight.
IDS will not be able to assist you if:
- You have a question or complaint about an individual court-appointed attorney in a non-capital case.
In such a case, you should either contact the State Bar or address your complaint to the presiding judge
in writing.
